Daxie Island is located in the center of the Beilun Port Area, one of the four deep-water transshipment port of China. With zhoushan archipelago as its natural shelter, it enjoys small wave, stable current, wide waters and is free from ice and silt. It is in proximity to international navigational channel, and the shallowest area is about 18.5 meters deep, which can meet the requirements of free call by 200,000 DWT ships at any time, and call by 250,000 DWT ships at high tide.

Daxie island has 26 km coastline, and among which, 10.7 belongs to deep water coastline with water depth reaching 20-30 meters 100-150 away from the bank, it is an ideal place to build large and super-large berths with short approaches and low investment cost.
