More than RMB yuan 3 billion has been invested to upgrade the infrastructure in Daxie, and water supply, electricity supply and roads transportation network can meet the diversified requirements of investors and operators.

Daxie Bridge

Water supply

Industrial water in Daxie is supplied via Ningbo water supply grid system. The daily water supply capacity is 150,000 tons, and water supply pipe within the district is 800-1000 mm in diameter.

Source water supply project is under program, and with completion of this project, the daily water supply capacity will be 200,000 tons.

Electricity supply

Ningbo is an important energy base in East China with an installed capacity of 4,500,000 KW.

Electricity in Daxie is supplied via East China Electricity Supply Grid, and there are one 100 kv, and three 35 kv transformer substations with double-circuit electricity supply. Another three transformer substations, one 35 kv, one 110kv, one 220 kv, are going to be built.

Steam supply

Daxie thermal power plant located in Xiebei Petro-chemical industrial Park will enter into operation end of 2004, with a steam supply capacity of 400 tons steam per hour at 10 barg and 40 barg. The thermal power plant includes two 50,000 kw steam turbines equipped with two recycling sulfuration bed boilers each of 280 tons per hour.

Natural gas

Natural Gas Pipe Line from East Sea Chunxiao Natural Gas Field will pass through the mainland side of Daxie sea-spanning bridge, and will begin to supply natural gas end of 2004 or early of 2005 with the annual supply capacity of 2.5 billion cubic meters.

Drainage

Two waste water treatment plants each with a waste water treatment capacity of 40,000 tons per day are going to be constructed in Daxie, and one will be completed in 2004.

Communication

All kinds of communication services such as program-controlled telephones, wireless communications, fibre and wideband data exchange system are available to investors and operators in Daxie.
