Brief Introduction to Daxie |

Upon the approval of State Council, Ningbo Daxie Development Zone was launched in March, 1993, enjoying the preferential policies eligible to the state-level economic and technical development zones. It was CITIC that took vast tract development of Daxie Island.
Daxie Development Zone is located in the middle of China’s coastline, and at the T-shaped intersection of the “golden waterway” of Yangtze River and the “golden coastline” of China. It is located in the coastal deepwater port area of the east of Ningbo city, Zhejiang Province, which is within the Yangtze River Delta Area possessing greatest economy development vigor and potentialities in China.
Daxie Development Zone is about 40km away to the downtown of Ningbo, facing Hangzhou Bay in the north across which lies Hangzhou and Shanghai from which is about 100nautical miles away. Through Ningbo-Shanghai trans-sea bridge, Daxie is in the 2-hour traffic circle to Shanghai.
With Yangtze River Delta Area and the area along the River including Zhejiang Province and Shanghai as its hinterland, Daxie Development Zone holds tangible strategic advantages, becoming the best spot to build deepwater transshipment port and frontage industries in China’s eastern coastal area.
