This project is co-invested by Hongkong Merchants Group, Ningbo Port Bureau and CITIC Daxie Development Co., whose total investment is RMB 3 billion yuan. The terminal is to construct four berths of 5th and 6th generation containers, covering 1900 mu. After the operation, the annual handling capacity can hit 2,500,000-3,000,000 TEU, and the business receipt and profit tax will reach RMB 800 million yuan and 280 million yuan respectively. On May,22, 2003, the agreement was signed, and the construction is to start in 2003.
